A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION, GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GPA/LU
89-3) AND LOCAL COASTAL PLAN AMENDMENT (LCPA
89-3) TO IDENTIFY FUTURE SCHOOL SITES AND TO
BRING THE DESIGNATIONS ON THE LOCAL COASTAL
PLAN, GENERAL PLAN AND ZONING MAP INTO
CONFORMANCE ON PROPERTY LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
APPLICANT: CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
CASE NO: GPA/LU 89-3/LCPA 89-3
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on March
hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to
an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan GE
3 and to the Local Coastal Plan LCPA 89-3; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined I
project will not have a significant impact on the enviror
a Negative Declaration was issued and approved on Novembe~
in compliance with the requirements of the City of
Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1980 and the Ce
Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carl

opposed to GPA/LU 89-3 and LCPA 89-3: and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after considering all
changes to the Land Use Element of the General Plan and 1
Coastal Plan, directed the City Attorney to return with ap]
