Adopt Resolution No.92-223’ dedicating a portion of the Maxton Brown Park for street and publ ic util i ty purposes.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On June 2, 1992, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 92-151 authoriz construction of sidewalk improvements to the northeast intersection of Drive and State Street, fronting Maxton Brown Park. The construction oi improvements is the first step of a program to provide sidewalk improvement Laguna Drive, and to underground the existing overhead utilities along Drive and State Street.
In order to facilitate the utility undergrounding program, San Diego Electric Company (SDG&E) has indicated their desire to install their r( underground electrical facilities fronting Maxton Brown Park concurrently w construction of the sidewalk improvements. Installation of these facilii this time will avoid potential removals and patching of the sidewalk improl during the remainder of the utility undergrounding construction.
To permit the placement of these facilities, it is necessary to dedici southerly 10’ portion of the Maxton Brown Park parcel for street and utility purposes. This proposed dedication will extend the public right- to a distance of 30’ feet from the centerline of Laguna Drive, which is st for this type of street.

This dedication will allow the City to maintain senior rights over this r

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DEDICATING A PORTION OF THE MAXTON
BROWN PARK PARCEL FOR STREET AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has previously au

WHEREAS, it is necessary to dedicate a portion of the Maxton Br
