ITEM EXPLANATION
Staff is proposing adoption of the Uniform Building Code, 1991 Edition, to rep1
with the State. The 1991 Code contains significant changes concerning ha;
materials, seismic design, masonry, exiting and fire resistive standards.
Government Code Section 50022.3 requires that this matter be introduc
subsequently scheduled for a public hearing for adoption of the code and its ass
