ITEM EXPLANATION
Staff is proposing adoption of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1991 Edition, at-
Uniform Plumbing Code, 1991 Edition, to replace the similar codes now in effect i will bring the City regulations into conformity with the State.

No fee increases have been requested for mechanical permits. Proposed fe
plumbing permits are increasing in accordance with the fee schedule as propo:
the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials as a means c
recovery for plan checking and inspection services. The fee schedule currently
was established in 1976 and until this time has not changed since.
