City Council adopt Resolution No. sa-257 accepting a contribution from Fieldstone 1
ITEM EXPLANATION
Fieldstone La Costa has contributed $5,000 to the City of Carlsbad Arts Office for the foi
TGIF "Jazz in the Parks" concerts which are held at Stagecoach Park during the month 1
The Arts Commission recommends the City accept this donation for the jazz concerts 1
help offset costs of this event which is becoming more popular each year. Attendance tt-
year has doubled from 500 per concert to 1,000 per concert.
FISCAL IMPACT
Estimated cost of the jazz concerts is $15,000. The contribution from Fieldstone La Cos
will help offset this cost.

RESOLUTION NO. 92-259
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A CONTRIBUTION FROM FIELDSTONE LA COS1
WHEREAS, one of City Council's objectives for the Arts Office is to "request proj
support from individuals, businesses and foundations when applicable"; and
WHEREAS, Fieldstone La Costa has contributed $5,000 to the Carlsbad Arts Off
for four jazz concerts held at Stagecoach Park; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost to present the 12 summer jazz concerts is $15,(
and the Fieldstone contribution will help offset this cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsb
California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the $5,000 donation from Fieldstone La Costa is hereby accepted i
deposited into account no. 881 -51 3-421 0-5201.
3. That the Carlsbad Arts Office is hereby authorized to expend such funds to of
the cost to present the jazz concerts.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the (
of Carlsbad, California, held on the 18th day of AUGUST , 1992, by the following VI
to wit: I
