RECOMMENDED ACTION:
That the City Council ADOPT Ordinance No. Ns-alO and Ordinance Nc Ps-2 I I amending Title 18, Chapter 18.08 and Chapter 18.1 6 of the CE
Municipal Code to adopt by reference the Uniform Mechanical Code and the U
Plumbing Code.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Staff is proposing adoption of the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1991 Edition, a
Uniform Plumbing Code, 1991 Edition, to replace the similar codes now in effec
will bring the City regulations into conformity with the State.
FISCAL IMPACT
No fee increases have been requested for mechanical permits. Proposed fe
plumbing permits are increasing in accordance with the fee schedule as propo
the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials as a means (
recovery for plan checking and inspection services. The fee schedule currently
was established in I976 and until this time has not changed since.
