Over the past several years as this park has developed and as the number of busine located along Camino Vida Roble has increased, parking demand has also incre; Due to the curvilinear alignment of Camino Vida Roble and the many driveway intersection locations, staff has received complaints about parked vehicles blocking visibility. In the past five years there have been four reported collisions on the su segment of roadway. A small water feature park has been constructed on the northeast corner of the Pal Airport Road/Camino Vida Roble intersection. Drivers park their vehicles along the side of Camino Vida Role to visit the park. The Traffic Safety Commission recomme that for the easterly segment of Camino Vida Roble at the water feature park Palomar Airport Road to a point 100 feet south of Owens Avenue on-street parkir permitted. Existing on-street parking at this location has not caused traffic problem: no other nearby parking is available to eliminate long walking distances. The segment of Camino Vida Roble between Palomar Airport Road and Palomar Way was discussed at the Traffic Safety Commission meeting of August 3, 1992. 5-0 vote, the Commission recommended establishing a NO PARKING ANYTIME zor both sides of Camino Vida Roble from Palomar Airport Road to Palomar Oaks Because of the heavy visitor use at the water park feature, the Commission recomrne that on-street parking be permitted on the easterly side of Camino Vida Roble bel Palomar Airport Road and a point 100 feet southerly of Owens Avenue. On-street parking on Camino Vida Roble between Palomar Airport Road (PAR) a Camino Real (ECR) was restricted in January 1992 when the City Council ad1 Ordinance NS-190. It was the recommendation of the Traffic Safety Commission i time that parking on both side of Camino Vida Roble between PAR and EC eliminated due to safety concerns. The State California has reduced the amount of revenue available to the City of Carlsbad to sup1 this work.
