RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resol ution No. ?2-336 accepting the Carl sbad Boulevard Fence Rep1 acemc Project No. 3355, as complete and directing the City Clerk to record a Noticc Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinance'
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On December 3, 1991, Abghari Construction, Incorporated was awarded a contrac the amount of $87,420 to replace 1,150 feet of fence along the bluff on Carl Boulevard from Cherry Avenue to Tamarack Avenue.
Abghari Construction, Incorporated completed the work on September 14, 1992, w was twelve (12) working days past the revised completion date of September 2, 1 Therefore, an assessment of $300 per calendar day for twelve (12) calendar totalling $3,600 will be deducted from monies owed the contractor as liquid damages.
City staff has inspected the improvements, found them to be satisfactory, recommends formal acceptance by the City Council.
