ITEM EXPLANATION Staff would like to present a status report on key issues relating to Solid Waste San Marcos Landfill Expansion Scheduled to be heard by the California Integrated Waste Management Board on January 22, 1993, in Oroville, California. North County Landfill Siting Program Studies continue on four candidate sites. The Board of Supervisors is expected to make a decision to select a site in spring 1994. Management and Financial Audit of County Solid Waste Enterprise Fund. The firm of Ernst & Young is conducting the audit. Preliminary report will be finished during the week of December 14, 1992. Participation Agreements Agreements are being negotiated at the staff level. Attached is a conceptual outline of the approach being negotiated and a tentative schedule for adoption of agreements.
