RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-221, amending Title 14 of the Municipal Code to change th
location for filing applications for certification as a tester of backflow prevention devices
ITEM EXPLANATION
Orindnance No. NS-221 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of Januaq
5,1993. The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would the1
become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published in tht
"Carkbad Journal" within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 14, CHAPTER 14.12 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION
14.12.090 TO CHANGE THE LOCATION FOR FILING APPLICATIONS,
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 14, Chapter 14.12 of the Car:
Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 14.12.0!
to read as follows:
"(a) Each applicant for certification as a tester of bad prevention devices shall file an approved application at
Municipal Water District offices, together with a fee of twc
five dollars.I1
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty
after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at
once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after
adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Car
City Council held on the 5th day of JANUARY , 1993,
thereafter.
