Gerico’s Bar & Grill to benefit the Carlsbad Senior Center.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Since September 1987, Gerico’s Bar & Grill, 850 Tamarack Avenue in Carlsbi
has sponsored an Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Carlsbad Senior Cenl
In 1988, Gerico’s began sponsoring an annual fundraising dinner in conjunct
with the golf tournament.
Gerico’s 6th Annual Carlsbad Senior Center Benefit Golf Tournament took pl:
on Saturday, October 3, 1992, at the Lomas Santa Fe Executive Golf Course.
Dinner tickets were available for a $5.00 donation and could be redeemed dur
October for a meal at Gerico’s Restaurant or for $5.00 off a dinner at KoKo Be:
Restaurant. All proceeds from the sale of dinner tickets were given to the Ser
SENIOR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
At their meeting on November 5, 1992, the Senior Commission voted unanimoL
to recommend acceptance of $3,708 raised through the Gerico’s Bar & Grill
Annual Carlsbad Senior Center Benefit Golf Tournament and Fundraising Dinr
The Senior Commission recommends that this donation be deposited into
Senior Citizen Trust Fund and be utilized towards the purchase of spe
equipment at the Senior Center.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $3,708 donation has been deposited into the Senior Citizen Trust FL
Account #880-519-9203-0000.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
A DONATION OF THREE THOUSAND SEVEN
HUNDRED EIGHT DOLLARS (3,708).
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
WHEREAS, Gerico's Bar & Grill donated thre
thousand seven hundred eight dollars ($3,708) for specia
equipment at the Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept thj
gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counc:
of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation (
three thousand seven hundred eight dollars ($3,708) (
behalf of the Seniors of the City of Carlsbad.
