CLK FOUNDATION BOARD DEPT CITY CITY I I I RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution Nos. 93417 and 93-”/8, appointing two members to the I Directors for the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cable Television. ITEM EXPLANATION: The by-laws of the Carlsbad Community Cable Television Foundation authori; directors. Two directors are selected by the cab1 e television operator: Carlsbad. The other five directors are appointed by a majority vote of the of the City Council. Additionally, per Council request, the Carlsbad Unifie District nominates a trustee for one of the five Council-appointed positic Kenneth Carter resigned from the Board of Directors effective December 1( The vacated term expired in January, 1993. In addition, the term of Stuar, expired in January, 1993. Mr. Turgel was originally appointed to the E April 16, 1991, and has served two years. The Foundation previously amended their by-laws to establish four-year term ‘ Therefore, appointees will now serve four-year terms. ~ Attached for Council review are copies of applications received in calend, 1992 and 1993.
