RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-230, amending Section 8.50.080 of the Carlsbad Municipi
Code to establish penalty amounts by Resolution.

Orindnance No. NS-230 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of Mar(
9, 1993. The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would tht

“Carlsbad Journal” within fifteen days, if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-230
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 8.50 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY DELETING SPECIFIC REFERENCES TO PENALTIES AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES BY RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad

NOW THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Cz
California does ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That Title 8, Chapter 8.50 of the (
Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 8.51
to read as follows:
"(b) For the second false alarm occurring with year period following the written warning above, a penalty assessed the amount of which shall be established by resol the City Council."
SECTION 11: That Title 8, Chapter 8.50 of the
Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 8.5
to read as follows:
"(c) For the third subsequent false alarms c within a one year period following the written warning
penalty shall be assessed the amount of which shall be est by resolution of the City Council.'*
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effecti'
