RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 93-'o'7accepting a donation of $720 from the Carlsbad
Arts Associates.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The Carlsbad Arts Associates is anon profit arts organization whose purpose
is to support the programs of the Carlsbacl Arts Office. The Arts Associates
has contributed $720 to assist with the production of the Carlsbad Arts
News, the monthly calendarhewsletter produced by the Carlsbad Arts Office
This contribution will be used to fund the printing and mailing costs that
have been eliminated by the Arts Office due to budget cuts.
FISCAL IMPACT
The contributed $720 will assist with the production costs of the Carlsbad
Arts News . The funds will be deposited into the Arts Office Donation
Account (880-51 9-9228-0000).

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COlUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD,CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM.
THE CARLSBAD ARTS ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Arts Office provides cultural information thrl
monthly newsletter/calendar to Carlsbatj residents; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Ca,rlsbad Arts Associates is to supp
programs of the Carlsbad Arts Office; arid
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Arts Associates is providing funds in the am
$720 to assist with the production of the Carlsbad Arts News; and
WHEREAS, the $720 will be deposited in the Arts Office Donation l
and funds are to expended from this account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the above recitations iare true and correct.
2. That the donation of $720 from the Carlsbad Arts Associates
accepted and deposited into the Arts Office Donation Account and expendec
lproduction of the monthly newsletter/calendar.
