RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-237, amending Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code by an
amendment to the Zoning Map to grant a zone change from R-l and RD-M to R-2 on
property generally located in the southern portion of the beach area overlay zone.
ITEM FXPLJWATION
Ordinance No. NS-237 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of April 20,
1993. The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would then
become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published in the
“Carlsbad Sun” within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDtNG TITLE 21 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AN AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING MAP TO
GRANT A ZONE CHANGE, ZC 92-01 FROM R-l AND RD-M TO R-2
ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN PORTION
OF THE BEACH AREA OVERLAY ZONE.
CASE NAME: BEACH AREA LAND USE STUDY
CASE NO: ZC 92-01
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the
amendment of the zoning map as shown on the map marked Exhibits “A-B” attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION II: That the findings and conditions of the Planning Commission as
set forth in Planning Commission Resolution 3443 constitutes the findings and conditions
of the City Council.
I ’ EFFECIWE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it
~ to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption.
