RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. '1 3-136 approving contract documents, special provisions and SF
and authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for Fire Station No. 1 Renovation.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Fire Station No. 1, located at 1275 Carlsbad Village Drive, was constructed in 1969.

Plans and specifications for the Fire Station No. 1 Renovation are on file with the
Maintenance Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:

The renovation of Fire Station No. 1 is budgeted in the Major Maintenance Program in
Maintenance. The $1 75,000 budget was originally appropriated from the General Fund re
1990-91 and has been carried forward from year to year in the Major Maintenance Prl
expenditure of these funds will not affect the fiscal position of the City for FY 1992-93

Staff is recommending that the $1 75,000 appropriation be transferred from the General
General Capital Construction Fund to allow the project expenditures to be accounted for i
FY 1992-93 Capital Improvement Program, instead of being co-mingled with Operz
expenditures.
