provisions and specifications, and authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the 199
Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Replacement Program, Contract No. U/M 93-7. I ITEM EXPLANATION:
The City is in its eighth year of concentrated work of replacing failed or failing curbs, gui
sidewalks and driveway approaches. This year's program specifies removal and replaceme
approximately 1,149 lineal feet of curb and gutter, 16,945 square feet of sidewalk and 1
square feet of driveway approach. As in previous years, root pruning is included in this coni
Contract documents, special provisions and specifications have been prepared and are c
in the Utilities and Maintenance Administrative Offices. Work is anticipated to begin during
1993 and is anticipated to take abut twenty (20) working days to complete.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The Planning Director has determined that the proposed project, which is limited to repail
maintenance of existing facilities, is categorically exempt from environmental review pursu:
Section 15301 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations (CEQA Guidelines).
FISCAL IMPACT
Project costs are estimated to be $125,000. Funds were budgeted and are available in thc
Tax Fund.

CONTRACT NO. U/M 93-7
WHEREAS, the contract documents, special provisions and specification!
the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation and othel
expenses necessary and incidental for the 1992-93 Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk
Replacement Program, Contract No. U/M 93-7, have been prepared and are or
the Utilities and Maintenance Department Administration Office of the City of
Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City o
Carlsbad as follows:
