RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 9 3 - 232 accepting bids and awarding a contract for the 1992
Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Replacement Program in the amount of $85,030.91 to
Enterprise Corporation of Rancho Cucamonga, California in accordance with the provisi
of Contract No. U/M 93-7.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
City Council adopted Resolution No. 93-146 on May 18, 1993, approving cont
documents, special provisions and specifications, and authorizing the City Clerk
advertise for bids for the 1992-93 Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Program. The followin8
(6) bids were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on July 30, 1993:

Bids were reviewed by Purchasing and Utilities & Maintenance Department staff.
Enterprise Corporation of Rancho Cucamonga, California was the lowest responsive bic
in the amount of $85,030.91. The contractor's registration and bonds are in order
references are satisfactory.
I ENVIR0N"ALREVIEW:
The Planning Director determined the proposed project, which is limited to repair
maintenance of existing facilities, is categorically exempt from environmental re7
pursuant to Section 15301 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations (C1
Guidelines).

fL a The estimate for the work was $125,000; the actual cost is $85,030.91. Adequate fi
were budgeted during fiscal year 1992-93, carried over to fiscal year 1993-94, and
currently available in the Gas Tax Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE 1992-93 CURB
GUTTER AND SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM,
CONTRACT NO. U/M 93-7
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad, Califon

Contract No. U/M 93-7; and 9
the 1992-93 Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Replacement Program in accordanc
10 WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received for this proje
