Although the project estimate was several years old and the scope of work j
substantially, staff believed the depressed market conditions would result in E
competitive bids that would offset these changes. Since this is such a critical fac
neither a design change nor rebidding the project would result in any substantial s is staffs recommendation the project be supplemented with additional funds

OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. U/M
93-6 FOR THE FIRE STATION NO. 1 RENOVATION,
AND APPROPRIATING $100,000 FROM T'HE GENERAL FUM
