RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. qd-maccepting the construction of the City Hall Xeriscapc
Completion, and authorizing the Finance Director to close the project accounts upo:
payment of final claims and costs.

IT" EXPLANATION:
On April 13, 1993, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 93-90 accepting bids an
awarding the contract for the City Hall Xeriscape Project in the amount of $41,806 t
Valley Coast Landscape Construction, Inc. All contract work has been satisfactoril
completed.
The final construction contract was $41,400 which included two changes totaling
reduction of $406 to the contract.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $42,000 have been previously appropriated to the project fro1
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District's Tonservation Program Account."

CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CITY HA1 XERISCAPE PROJECT, NO. CMWD 2660 AS COMPLETE, DIRECTIN
THE CIN CLERK TO FILE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION, Ah
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO CLOSE THE PROJEC
ACCOUNTS UPON PAYMENT OF ALL FINAL CLAIMS AND COSTS.
WHEREAS, the City Hall Xeriscape Project, No. CMWD 2660 has been sat:
completed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has previously app
certain funding for said project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of (
California, the following:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Hall Xeriscape Project, No. CMWD 2660 is corn1
hereby accepted.
3. That the Clty Clerk of the City of Carlsbad, California, is directed
the Notice of Completion for said project.
4. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to close tt
accounts upon payment of all final claims and costs.
