ITEM EXPLANATION: The City Council received a request from Ofelia Escobedo, President of t Carlsbad Association, to make a presentation to the City Council on prop plans for the Barrio. In additic Dee Landers from your Planning Department advised the School as to what the City is doing within the Barrio for the Genera update. The School Board was very interested and appreciated collective comments. We request that we be placed on the Council Agenda to provide and the Council Members with the same information we presentel the School Board. The Carlsbad City staff and the outside consultant held a wor meeting at Jefferson School on Monday evening, November 1, 19 We were extremely pleased with the turn out and the response the community members. The RD-M is one of the newer city zones and has been desi( allow for more flexibility for the land owner in terms of of dwelling units per lot.
