RE: DONATED LEO CARRILLO ARTIFACTS
Attached is an inventory of the articles recently donated t
the City's Historic Preservation Commission by Mr. Huey Rolls Of
Vista on behalf of his wife Terry and her father Mr. Willard
Klafehn. I am extremely pleased with the generosity this famil]
has exhibited and hope others continue to share their treasures
for the future benefit of all our citizens.
For the City's records, the following is my very
conservative estimate of the value of this donation:
525 photos (unframed h framed) @ $10.00 each. ....$ 5,250
5 hats (3 @ $300, 1 @ $500, 1 @ $900) ............ 2,300 TOTAL $7,550
While the remaining items have interpretive and education?
value, there is no practical way to determine their monetary
worth. May I recommend this collection be formally accepted b]
the City and our sincerest appreciation extended to the donors:
If I can be of further assistance or answer questions for
staff, please contact me at 438-1666.
