TITLE: ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. NS-270 -
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-270, amending Title 10 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code to
establish "NO Parking Anytime" on each side of Paseo del Norte from Poinsettia Lane
southerly to the Sea Cliff entrance gate.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-270 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of February
8,1994. The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would then
become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.40 OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE REVISION OF SECTION 10.40.072 TO DECLARE
"NOPARKING ANYTIME" ON EACH SIDE OF PASEO DEL NORTE FROM
POINSElTIA LANE SOUTHERLY TO THE SEA CLIFF ENTRANCE GATE.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the revision of Section 10.40.072 to read as follows:
"1 0.40.072. Parking Restricted on Paseo del Norte.
(a) There will be two-hour restricted parking on each side of Paseo del Node
between the hours of eight a.m. and six p.m., Monday through Friday, with
holidays excepted, from Cannon Road to its intersection with Car Country Drive.
(b) There will be no parking on each side of Paseo del Norte from Poinsettia Lane
southerly to the Sea Cliff entrance gate."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and
the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
- 8th day of FEBRUARY , 1994, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the i5t;h day of FEBRUARY , 1994 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Stanton, Kulchin, Nygaard, Finnila
NOES: None
