RECbMMEMbEb ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. qq- s 8 appointing seven (7) members to the Community Developm
Block Grant Funding Committee for Program Year 1994-95.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On February 8, 1994, the City Council approved the Citizen Participation Plan for the
Carlsbad Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program. The Citizel
for CDBG funds and to make recommendations regarding funding allocations to the City
Council. On February 8th, the Council approved a seven (7) member Committee with the
following representation:
Participation Plan requires the formation of a CDBG Funding Committee to review proposa
0 One (1) Housing Commissioner/Section 8 Participant
0 One (1) Planning Commissioner
0 One (1) Senior Commissioner
0 Four (4) Citizens-at-Large (one from each Quadrant).
At this time, staff is requesting that the City Council make the appointments to the CDBG
Funding Committee for Program Year 1994-95.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact on the General Fund.
EXHIBITS:
1 - Resolution No. %-S8 appointing seven (7) members to the CDBG Funding
Committee.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING SEVEN MEMBERS TO THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD’S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FWNDING
COMMITTEE FOR PROGRAM YEAR 1994-1995
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, approved the
Citizen Participation Plan for Carlsbad’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Program on February 8, 1994;
WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan specifies the forination of a seven memt
citizen advisory committee to review proposals requesting CDBG funding and to make
recommendations regarding such funding allocations to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Citizen Participation Plan further specifies that the City Council
shall appoint seven members to the CDBG Funding Committee with the following
representation: one Housing CommissionedSection 8 Participant, one Planning
Commissioner, one Senior Commissioner, and four citizens-at-large (one from each City
Quadrant);

I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
