Adopt Resolution No. 9 Y - 96 accepting the donation of eleven( 11) HP 2392A compu
terminals from the Hughes Technology Center and directing an appropriate letter of
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Hughes Technology Center has donated eleven computer terminals to the Library for
with the Library's automated catalog and circulation system. These terminals are the
type already used by the library staff, and this donation will enable the Library to av
purchase of new terminals as existing terminals wear out.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Used Hewlett Packard 239212 computer terminals sell for approximately $300.00 eac

RESOLUTION NO. 94-96
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A GIFT OF ELEVEN
COMPUTER TERMINALS FROM THE HUGHES
TECHNOLOGY CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Hughes Technology Center has donated eleven computer
terminals to the Library, and;
WHEREAS, the Library can use the terminals to access its online catalog a
circulation database, and;
WHEREAS, these terminals will be useable as replacement terminals as
existing terminals wear out;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
California, as follows:

That the City Council accepts the gift of eleven computer terminal:
from the Hughes Technology Center on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad.
