YARD DUMP TRUCKS
, awarding the bid for two five cubic yard dump
ITEM EXPLANATION
Two five cubic yard dump trucks are scheduled for replacement this fiscal year. These
were assigned to the Parks and Streets Departments for their maintenance programs
trucks exceed the age and mileage requirements of the City’s vehicle replacement prc
On March 9, 1994, in accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, No
Bidders was published and Request for Bids was made of 17 vendors. Thirteen resr
were received and opened on March 31 , 1994.
The lowest responsive bid for the dump trucks was submitted by Peck Road Ford
Sales, Inc., 2450 Kella Avenue, Whittier CA 90601 in the amount of $81,532.44 plus i
a total of $87,239.71. The trucks are 1994 Ford F800’s and are expected to be delivc
July 1994.
FISCAL IMPACT
Unencumbered funds are available in the Vehicle Replacement Capital Outlay Accoi
620-820-5220-3900 for the purchase of the dump trucks.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A BID AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER FOR TWO FIVE YARD DUMP TRUCKS
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the bid of Peck Road Ford Truck Sales, 2450 Kella P
Whittier CA 90601, is hereby accepted and the Purchasing Officer is hereby aut
to execute a Purchase Order for the purchase of two five yard dump trucks in the
of $81,532.44 plus tax, for a total of $87,239.71. (Tabulation of Bids attached as
,'A,').
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of 1
Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the xhday of APRIL , 1994, by the fc
vote, to wit:
