RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND
SPECIFICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
PAVEMENT OVERLAY PROGRAM, CONTRACT U/M 94-3
CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE 1993-94
WHEREAS, the contract documents, special provisions and specific
for the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation and
expenses necessary and incidental for the 1993-94 Pavement Overlay Prc
Contract No. U/M 94-3, have been prepared and are on file in the Community St
Office of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Carlsbad as follows:

1993-94 PAVEMENT OVERLAY PROGRAM
As per Council direction, staff met with the downtown Merchants Association on Tuesday,
May 3, 1994 regarding potential impacts caused by the Planned Pavement Overlay Program
on State, Roosevelt and Carlsbad Boulevard. After the presentation and discussion, it was determined that the best period to do this overlay program would be the latter part of
September 1994, preferably during a combination day and evening time on a Monday or
Tuesday.
Staff will proceed with the advertising for bids along with the notation of the preferred times
in the downtown area. -
