Item Explanation:
Mary Stanbery and Ruth Worker are regular participants in the noon lur
program at the Senior Center. In "appreciation for the pleasure" they rece
by attending the luncheon, they have donated $1,000. They have reques
that the donation be utilized to add to the "special treats" provided in i
Senior Commission Recommendation:
At their meeting on April 7, 1994, the Senior Commission unanimou
accepted $1,000 donated by Mary Stanbery and Ruth Worker. 7
Commission recommends that this donation be deposited into the Sen
Trust Fund to be utilized to celebrate special occasions in the diningroor

Nutrition Program.
Your kind words are also very much appreciated. It is always nice to
hear that the little extras do not go unnoticed. We are very fortunate
to have a first rate Center, with first rate volunteers, and "friends"
like the two of you.
As you requested, your donation will be deposited into the Senior
Citizen Trust Account and utilized to support the "special treats"

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000)
WHEREAS, Mary Stanbery and Ruth Worker donated one thousand
dollars ($1,000) to the Carlsbad Senior Center, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1.
($1,000) on behalf of the Senior Citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
That the City Council accepts the donation of one thousand dollar!
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of thc
