RECOMMENDED ACTION:
City Council adopt Resolution No. ?Yb)g' approving a $9,404 increase to the ;
Division Grant Budget.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In June of 1993, the City Council approved the fiscal year 1993-94 Senior Division
with the San Diego County Area Agency on Aging (A.A.A.) to provide nutrition,
delivered meals and transportation services to area seniors.
In March 1994, the A.A.A. advised staff that $2,400 in "one-time-only" (O.T.O.) fl
was being awarded to the Carlsbad Senior Center for the purchase of dinnerware 1
Nutrition Program.
In addition, daily donations collected for the Nutrition and Home Meals Programs
been higher ($1.55/noon meal, $2.55/home meal) than estimated ($1.40/nOOn
donations ($7,004) can only be spent in support of the programs from which the)

Thig 93/94 #' AMNDMENT TO AGR€€M€NT is made hy
the COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO herein called "County," and City of Carlsbad , herein called "Contractor."
WHEREAS, County and Contractor have previously entered into an Agreement, a copy of
which is on fiIe with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors as Contract No. 30718 , *
WHEREAS, County and Contractor desire to amend said Agreement to provide for
continuation of services, NOW THEREFORE, County and Contractor agree as follows:
1. That the purpose of this Agreement is to provide services as set forth in the
attached Service Provisions, Exhibit E, which is by this reference hereby
incorporated herein;
2. That this Amendment will become effective on March 229 1994
and extend through June 30, 1994

3. That Contractor recognizes that County expends Older American Act funds on
a fiscal year basis, and therefore Contractor expressly agrees that it is to
receive its funding on that basis, and that the obligation of the County under
this Agreement is severable for and limited to the amount of $1r)8?916
during the 19g3Ig4 Fiscal Year: and the amount of 0
during the N/A Fiscal Year. The maximum amount specified for the
1993/94 Fiscal Year constitutes an increase of $29400 over
the maximum amount of compensation authorized prior to the effective date of
this Amendment. In no case will-County pay Contractor in the excess of
$108,016
4. All other provisions of the Contract shall remain in force.
