RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-276, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Municipal Cot
to establish a prima facie 35 mile per hour speed limit upon Rutherford Road fro
Faraday Avenue to its terminus at Priestly Drive.

Ordinance No. NS-276 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of April 2

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIN COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAI
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44, OF THE CARLSBP MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 10.44.450 TO ESTABLISH PRIMA FACIE 35 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON RUTHERFORD ROP
FROM FARADAY AVENUE TO ITS TERMINUS AT PRIESTLY DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains a
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is
by the addition of Section 10.44.450 to read as follows:
"1 0.44.450 Rutherford Road:
Upon Rutherford Road from Faraday Avenue to its terminus at Priestly Drive, facie speed limit shall be thirty-five miles per hour."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adc
