FISCAL IMPACT:
The construction cost for Segment "A" is $1 94,681.87. NCTD has deposited fundi
amount of $207,000 into Project Account No. 305-820-9604-341 6. The projec
exceeding the NCTD contribution are estimated to be $32,000. This amount will be
by the City of Carlsbad in the form of engineering and inspection costs. The cons
costs for segment "B" is 302,120.73. Funds in the amount of $622,000 have been cc
from EWWTP which have accumulated interest in the amount of $100,000. TI
increased the total EWWTP's project funds to $722,000.
The estimated total project costs are as follows:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. 341 6 FOR
THE EXTENSION OF AVENIDA ENCINAS.
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for the Extension of Av
Encinas, Project No. 3416; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for the Extension of Avenida Encinas was submitt
West Coast General in the amount of $496,802.60; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $722,000 are available for Segment "B" in Accoui
No. 305-820-9604-341 6; and
WHEREAS, appropriation of NCTD's funds in the amount of $207,000 is necessaq
WHEREAS, appropriation of City contributions in the amount of $32,000 is necess
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, Cali
as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the bid of $496,802.60 by West Coast General for Project No. 341 6 1
Extension of Avenida Encinas is accepted, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to exel
