I Direct the City Attorney whether or not to return With dc amending the compensation of members Of the City Council.
ITEM EXPLANATION
State law provides that compensation of city council member:
increased by ordinance in an amount not to exceed five percc for each calendar year from the operative date of the last
adjustment. The last City Council compensation adjustment
effective following the general election of November, 199
and took no action. Current compensation for City Council
is $607 per month. State law allows this compensatior
adjusted to at 5% for each calendar year from the operative
the last adjustment which would allow an adjustment to $
month. If directed to return with the appropriate legal doc
this salary adjustment would become effective following the election of November 8, 1994.
