Adopt Resolution No. '3q*&5 accepting donations of$6,000, $2,500 from the
Fieldstone Foundation, $2,500 from California Lutheran Homes (Carlsbad By
The Sea Retirement Community), and $1,000 from Americair of San Diego.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The Fieldstone Foundation has donated $2,500 to the Carlsbad Arts Office fo
three TGIF Jazz In The Parks concerts held at Stagecoach Park held on June
24, July 1 and July 8. This is the third year the Fieldstone Foundation has
contributed to the jazz concert series. California Lutheran Homes,
representing Carlsbad By The Sea Retirement Community has donated $2,500
for the three jazz concerts held at Magee Park on July 15, 22 and 29.
Americair of San Diego has donated $1,000 towards the acquisition of a
portable outdoor stage that the City intends to purchase and use during the
concert series.
FISCAL IMPACT
Estimated cost of the jazz concert series is $18,000. Donations from the
Fieldstone Foundation and California Lutheran Homes will offset this cost.

WHEREAS, one of City Council's goals for the Arts Office is to
pursue the contribution of gifts and funds for arts..."; and
WHEREAS, the Fieldstone Foundation has donated $2,500 for the thrc

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Carlsbad, as follows:

That donations of $6,000 are hereby accepted and deposited in
account no. 881 -51 3-421 0-5201.
