RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the staff report on the State budget.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
As the State of California continues to struggle with the challenge of balancing
its budget, the basic fiscal systems that support local government are under
attack. As the State struggles with adopting a final budget plan for 1994-95,
staff will provide the Council with update on significant developments.
