ADOPT City Council Resolution No. 97 -2 2'? GRANTING an easement and right of
on property (APN 215-020-15) owned by the City of Carlsbad, located west of El Camino :
between Camino Vida Roble and Alga Road, to San Diego Gas and Electric for the purposr
relocating an existing overhead electric line and authorizing the Mayor to execute the easer
document.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
An overhead electric line needs to be relocated and placed underground on city-owned pro€
located on El Camino Real, between Camino Vida Roble and Alga Road. Before San Diego
and Electric can begin construction to relocate the subject line, the City of Carlsbad must g
an easement to cover the installation and maintenance of these electric facilities. The City
continue to have the right of ingress and egress to, from and along this easement. 1
installation, and upon receipt of application for service to San Diego Gas and Electric, electr
will then be available to serve the property.
The property in which this easement and right of way is to be granted is legally describe
follows:
Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No. 1188, filed December 20, 1972 at Recorder's File No.
340334 of Official Records in the office of the County Recorder of said County of
Diego.
The property is better known as the site of the new La Terraza Affordable Housing Prc
(previously referred to as the Villas at El Camino Real).
Staff is recommending that the City Council grant the subject easement to San Diego Gas
Electric for the purposes of relocating an existing overhead line onto the described city-ov
property.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO SAN
DIEGO GAS AND ELECTRIC ON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD FOR THE PURPOSES OF RELOCATING AN
EXISTING OVERHEAD ELECTRIC LINE.
WHEREAS, San Diego Gas and Electric has been requested to relocate
overhead electric line and place it underground on city-owned property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad must grant an easement to San Diego Gas ;
before construction can begin to relocate said electric line.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
The above recitations are true and correct.
The City of Carlsbad hereby grants an easement to San Diego Gas and Elec
owned property legally described as: Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No. 1188, file1
20, 1972 at Recorder’s File No. 72-340334 of Official Records in the a
County Recorder of said County of San Diego.
The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute in the name of the City
