ITEM EXPLANATION:
On June 28, 1994, the City Council approved the contract documents, special provisio
specifications and authorized the Crty Clerk to advertise for bids for the Holiday HOL
restoration.
Five bids were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on July 28, 1994. The bid a1
ranged from $28,883 to $41,110. The bids were reviewed by the staff of the Purchasil
bidder in the amount of $28,883. The contractor’s registration and bonds are in order and ref€
are satisfactory.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The estimate for this work was $30,000 and funds are available in the City’s Capital Improl
Program, Account Number 300-820-1 81 0-3457.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. U/M 948 FOR THE HOLIDAY HOUSE FIRE RESTORATION
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the Crty of Carlsbad, California, fol
the Holiday House Fire Restoration; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received was submitted by Macon
Construction Corporation, in the amount of $28,883; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Capital Improvement Prograr
Account Number 300-820-1 81 0-3457.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City c
Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $28,883 by Macord Construction for the Holiday House Fil
Restoration, Contract No. U/M 94-8 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and the City Cle
are hereby authorized to execute a contract therefore.
