(ACTION)
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive donations and in kind services totalling eleven thousand, four hundred and twelve dollars
($11,412) in support of the 1994 Carlsbad International Body Surfing Championship and
recommend acceptance by the City Council.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The following businesses/organizations have offered donations of products or services in support
of the Annual Bodysurfing Championships.
Wave Rebel - bodyboards (product) $550

Dragon - sunglasses (product) 660

*Ran free ad and flyer on-going hi paper as well as a 1/2 page full color advertisement.
This year's contest drew nearly two hundred (200) competitors, many world class, to the Carlsbad
International Bodysurfing Championships. The contest was held on Saturday and Sunday, August
13 and 14 as more than 1,000 spectators enjoyed the action of top-notch competitors. The
donations provided awards to top finishers and prizes during drawings to many of the other
competitors.
