ITEM EXPLANATION
The Carlsbad Arts Associates is a non profit arts organization whose purpose is to supp
the programs of the Carlsbad Arts Office. The Arts Associates has contributed $7,500
towards the purchase of a portable outdoor stage and storage unit.
Announcements thanking the Arts Associates were made at the jazz concerts and a Let
to the Editor was published in the Sun and Blade-Citizen newspapers. Tha volunteer Thank-You reception is scheduled for October 19.
FISCAL IMPACT
The contributed $7,500 will assist with the costs of purchasing the stage ($6,180) and storage unit (cost unknown at this time). The funds will be deposited into the Arts Office Donation Account (881 -51 0-421 0-5201 ). The Arts Office is authorized to spend these

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE CARLSBAD ARTS ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Arts Office provides “a variety of quality cultural i
including all forms of visual and performing arts, to all Carlsbad residents”; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Carlsbad Arts Associates is to support the progr:
Carlsbad Arts Office; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Arts Associates is providing funds in the amount of
assist with the purchase of a portable outdoor stage and storage unit; and
WHEREAS, the $7,500 will be deposited in the Arts Office Donation Account an(

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of C:
