RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 9 5 - 3 , appointing Trustee Carmich
represent the Carlsbad Unified Seheel Digtrict as a member Board of Directors of the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Television.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The By-Laws of the Carlsbad Community Cable Television Foun
authorize seven directors. Two directors are selected by the television operators within Carlsbad. The other five direct0 appointed by a majority vote of the members of the City Council Council has historically requested the Carlsbad Unified District to nominate a trustee for one of the five Council app directors.

1994. The Carlsbad School District's Board of Trustees has nom Carlsbad School District Trustee Carmichael to fill the unexpirc which expires in January, 1996.
The other City Council appointed directors are: Fred Morey, Sheppard, Robert Turner, and Paul Vanderpool.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ./CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE FOUNDATION OF CARLSBAD COMMUNITY CABLE TELEVISION
WHEREAS, Sharon Faithful resigned fromthe Board of Directors of
the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cable Television from a term
expiring in January, 1996;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person.is hereby appointed to serve
as a member of the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Carlsbad
Community Cable Television for a term expiring January, 1996:

It has been a privilege and an honor to serve on this committee. Th foundation provides a positive service to the community by the offering of grant and the ability to communicate within the community. The City of Carlsba certainly benefits from the work accomplished by this foundation.
