RECOMMENDED ACTION:
ADOPT City Council Resolution No. 9 5 - 2 5 GRANTING an easement and right of
on property (APN 215-020-15) owned by the City of Carlsbad, located west of El Camino 1
between Camino Vida Roble and Alga Road, to San Diego Gas and Electric for the purpose
installing electrical facilities for the La Telrraza Affordable Housing Project.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Underground electric and communication facilities need to be constructed/installed on city-ov
property located on El Camino Real, between Camino Vida Roble and Alga Road, known a:
site for the La Terraza Affordable Housing Project. Before San Diego Gas and Electric can b
construction, the City of Carlsbad must grant an easement to cover the installation
maintenance of these electric facilities. The City will continue to have the right of ingress
egress to, from and along this easement. After installation, and upon receipt of application
service to San Diego Gas and Electric, electricity will then be available to serve the proper

follows:
Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No. 1188, filed December 20, 1972 at Recorder's File No.
340334 of Official Records in the office of the County Recorder of said County of
Diego.
Staff is recommending that the City Council grant the subject easement to San Diego Gas
Electric for the purposes of constructinghstalling the underground electrical and communica
facilities as described in the attached easement documents.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE ClTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA GRANTING AN EASEMENT TO SAN
DIEGO GAS AND ELECTRIC ON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING
AND INSTALLING ELECTRICAL/COMMUNICATION LINES.
WHEREAS, San Diego Gas and Electric has been requested to con
underground electrical/communication facilities on city-owned property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad must grant an easement to San Diego Gas
before construction can begin to construct/install said electric line.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Counc)
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
