Dear Friends:
I want to thank you for your generous donation to cover the costs of
enclosing the reception area in the Senior Center.
As each of you has witnessed, the hallway can get very cold and the abilit>
to hear on the phones located at the reception desk is virtually impossible a
certain times of the day. Our only solution to this and other challenges
created by the open reception area was to enclose the area. However, unti
now, we did not have the finances to "do the job."
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, concern for the volunteers and staff wh
work in the that area and mostly for your generosity in making the enclosinl
of the area possible.
As we discussed, it is estimated that the remodel will cost around $1 0,000
not to exceed $1 5,000. We will reimburse to the Association any unspent
funds.
In the past several years, the Association has again taken a very active role
in contributing to the success of the Carlsbad Senior Center in many ways.
We are most appreciative off your generosity and hard work in making the
Carlsbad Senior Center a place of enjoyment and pleasure for the many
Seniors who participate.
Kindest regards, uw /

Dear Friends:
I want to thank you for your donation of $640 to recover the
patio chairs.
We have been in the Center five years and the chairs on the
patio have been outside every day, rain or shine, since that time.
The California sun has taken its toll.
As we discussed, the funds have been deposited into the Senior
Citizen Trust Fund and in the spring we will arrange for the chairs
to be recovered.
Again, I thank you for your generosity.
Sincerely,
G-
