Bccept donation of $1,553 from the Carlsbad Hi-Nom Rotary Club for the purchase
of bleachers for the Aviara Oaks Activity Playfields.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Development of the Phase I Activity Playfields at Aviara Oaks Middle School has
recently been completed. Phase I Development created a baseball field with
fencing and backstop to be used primarily by youth group organizations on an
afternoon and weekend basis. Phase II Development which is currently in progress
will create an adult size soccer field with overlay capabilities for multiple playfield
functions.
The Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary has donated funds ($1,553) in order to provide
bleachers for use by approximately 50 spectators. The donated funds are sufficienl
to purchase a low level bleacher structure which allows three rows of seating
approximately 30 feet long.
Staff is recommending acceptance of the $1,553 Donation to be utilized for the
purchase of bleachers. If Council concurs, a letter of appreciation will be sent
acknowledging the benevolence of, and the City’s appreciation to the Carlsbad Hi-
Noon Rotary.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This deposit of $1,553 into Account # 320-820-1820-3422 will provide sufficient
funds to purchase bleachers for the Aviara Oaks Middle School Activity Playfields.

SCHOOL ACTIVITY PLAYFIELDS.
CARLSBAD HI-NOON ROTARY FOR THE PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary has donated One Thousand Five Hun
Fifty Three Dollars for the purchase of bleachers for the Activity Playfields at Aviara (
Middle School, and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Council acknowledges the benevolence of the Car
Hi-Noon Rotary through the receipt of their donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the CI
