ITEM EXPLANATION
Type Ill Modular Ambulances are utilized by city paramedics to provide emergency sei
citizens, Currently, there are three ambulances in the fleet, two first-line units and one res€
The two ambulances scheduled for replacement this fiscal year, a 1987 Stoner and a 199C
exceed the age and mileage requirements of the City's vehicle replacement program and will
as trade-ins on the new ambulances. When the new ambulances are received, they will be(

In accordance with Section 3.28.1 40 of the Municipal Code, Requests for Proposal were sen1

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
PURCHASE ORDER FOR TWO TYPE Ill MODULAR AMBULANCES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
California, as follows:
1. That the proposal of Leader Industries fnc., 10941 Weaver Aver
El Monte CA 91733 is hereby accepted and the Purchasing Officer is hereby aut
execute a Purchase Order for two Type Ill Modular Ambulances in the amount of $
