RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends acceptance of work in accordance with Contract No. U/M 94-9 as comF
requests direction to the City Clerk to have the Notice of Completion recorded and to relc
bonds thirty-five (35) days after recordation.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On September 13, 1994, the City Council awarded contract No. U/M 94-9, in the amount of
to Johnson Construction for the ADA Modifications at the Library. Change orders amoi
$8,869.75 resulted in a total contract amount of $81,139.75. Architectural design fees, wt
$9,100, brought the total project cost to $90,239.75. The actual construction took 101 dq
start to finish, is now complete and the general contractor’s work is acceptable to the
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this project is appropriated in the Ctty’s Capital Improvement Program, Account
820-1890-3384. This account is budgeted at $275,000 and is designated for the future rei
the Cole Library. The ADA Modifications, which were included in the ultimate remod
accelerated to take advantage of State funding and to improve the facility for our
population. As a result, the total project cost of $90,239.75 is being offset in the amount of
from a Library Services and Construction Act Title II grant. The remaining balance of $54,(
funded from the Capital Improvement Project.
