APPROVING SP 19(G) FOR SIGNS IN CAR COUNTRY SPECIFIC PLAN CITY ATTY - CITY MGR. - RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Ordinance No. NS-315, setting forth standards and procedures for signs in Car Country Specific Plan. ITEM EXPLANATION Ordinance No. NS-315 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of June 20, 1995. The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen days, if adopted. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA SETTING FORTH STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES FOR SIGNS IN CAR COUNTRY SPECIFIC PLAN APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD CASE NO.: SPECIFIC PLAN 19(G) . The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain as follows: WHEREAS, on April 19, 1995 the Carlsbad Planning Commission held a duly noticed public hearing to consider a proposed amendment SP 19(G) to the existing Specific Plan to regulate signing on property generally located between Cannon Road and Palomar Airport Road (Car Country) be approved; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California held a public hearing on June 13, 1995 to consider the recommendations and heard all persons interested in or opposed to Specific Plan Amendment SP 19(G) setting forth standards and procedures for signs in Car Country Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, after procedures in accordance with the requirements of law, the City Council has determined that the public interest indicates that said plan be approved. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen days after its adoption. INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council on the 20th day of - JUNE , 1995, . and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 27th day of JUNE , 1995, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Kulchin, Finnila, Hall NOES: None ABSENT: None APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY ROmD R.
