Historic Preservation Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of John Jones expires in April, 1995. Mr. Jc
originally appointed to the Commission in May, 1993, to unexpired term, and has served 23 months at the conclusion
term.
The Carlsbad Municipal Code requires that the Commia
composed of members having specific qualifications. Mr. J
serving a term in the following category:
"One member who has an interest in local history an resided in the community for at least thirty years."
The appointee, therefore, must meet the qualifications
category.
Other members of the Commission are: Gordon Bizieff, Schwei, Joe Valenti, and Allan Wanamaker.

Dear Mayor Lewis:
My name is John L. Jones. I am a member of the Historic Preservation Commission.
You should know that we have an excellent group representing our city. We Work very
well together and are accomplishing many, many things.
My appointment is to come to an end in April of 1995. I would deeply appreciate a
reappointment for another 4 year term as (We) have a lot of unfinished business to
complete.
I deeply and thoroughly enjoy my seat on this commission as Vice Chair.
I wish to complete my work in the next 4 years, with all of us (other commissioners and myself) being of excellent personage, I feel we offer an invaluable service to our fine city.
All on the commission enjoy their appointments, and take great pride in knowing we are
serving our community well.
