ISABEL BRlTTAlN TRUST
City Council accept Resolution No. 94-&?3& accepting $3,000 donated from
the Isabel Brittain Trust.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
In August 1995, Mayor Lewis received a letter from Mr. Harold Litten
(Exhibit 2) regarding a $3,000 donation from the Isabel Brittain Trust.
Mr. Litten was a neighbor of Isabel Brittain who had been an active
participant in the Carlsbad Senior Center.
SENIOR COMMISSION ACTION:
At their meeting September 7, 1995, the Senior Commission voted unanimous11
to recommend acceptance of $3,000 received from the Isabel Brittain Trust.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $3,000 donated from the Isabel Brittain Trust has been deposited into tht
Senior Citizen Trust Fund account #880-5 1 9-9203-0000. The funds will bt
utilized for the purchase of special equipment or to support "special
activitiedevents at the Carlsbad Senior Center.

RESOLUTION NO. 95-272
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING A DONATION OF THREE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($3,000).
WHEREAS, the Isabel Brittain Trust has donated Three Thousand dollar
($3,000) to the Carlsbad Senior Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City c
Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts the donation of Three Thousand dollars
($3,000) on behalf of the Senior Citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Ci'
Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 26thday of SEPT., 1995, by tt
following vote, to wit:

Dear Buddy:
It is with pleasure that I honor the last wishes of my
longtime friend and Carlsbad neighbor Isabel Brittain to continue
to assist your fine Senior Citizen Center and the .many other
city-sponsored programs for Senior Citizens.
Isabel, who passed away last November, spoke to me many times of your group's excellent work and the enjoyment she
received while a participant. To express her continued support
a check for $3000.00 is enclosed.
As I am helping her brother Richard J. Kray, who is Trustee of her estate, with many details I would like to suggest that
you write him a letter of thanks so that he may share it with
Isabel's several neices*and nephews. Mr. Kray's address is

I am sure he will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
