Adopt Resolution No. Ci5-3/3 accepting the Jefferson Street Bike Path located bc
1-5 and Marron Road, Project No. 31 56, as complete and directing the City Clerk to
a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law an
Ordinances, and direct Community Service to commence maintenance.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On December 20, 1994, Retaining Walls, Inc. was awarded a contract in the am $222,785;04 to conmuct the rleffenon Street Bike Path,
Retaining Walls, Inc. completed the work on September 26, 1995. City force! inspected said construction and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends acceptance by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad.
FISCAL IMPACT:
A summary of the project construction cost is as follows:
Funds for the project were provided from a combination of City, State Grant func Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA).

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE JEFFERSON STREET BIKE PATH,
PROJECT NO. 3156, AS COMPLETE.
WHEREAS, construction of the Jefferson Street Bike Path between 1-5 and Me
has been satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That construction of the Jefferson Street Bike Path, specifically identified
No. 3156, is deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the Crty of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed
the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad C
