RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. (?5'-92 q accepting donations totaling seven thousand six hundred
forty five ($7,645) dollars in support of the 1995 Youth Tennis Camp and Bodysurfing
Championship.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Community Services Department has been provided with donations of cash, products
and services totaling seven thousand six hundred forty five (7,645) dollars in support of
the Annual Youth Tennis @amp and Body Surfmg Championship. During the October
meeting, the Parks and Recreation Commission received these donations and unanimously
recommended acceptance by the City Council. Listed below are the donors, and the
products, services and/or cash which were contributed.

FISCAL IMPACT:
$7,045 in products and services were utilized for advertisement and awards for the
Bodysurfing Championship. A total of $600 cash was received to assist with the youth
tennis camp and deposited into account # 880-519-92 10-000 (Recreation Special Events).
All donations offset the cost to the City in providing for these special events and
contribute to the popularity of these activities.

CASH VALUING A TOTAL OF SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED 1
FORTY FIVE DOLLARS ($7,645) IN SUPPORT OF THE 1995 CARLSl
BODY SURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS AND YOUTH TENNIS CAMP
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has received donations of products, services
cash valuing a total of Seven Thousand Six Hundred Forty Five ($7,645) Dollars in SUI
of the 1995 Bodysurfmg Championship and Youth Tennis Camp; and
WHEREAS, these donations have contributed to offsetting the City's co
providing these special events and also contributed to the overall success and enjoyme
these programs by the participants; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the benevolence o
community vendors and citizens who have contributed to these special events; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these contributions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Ci
