RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-331, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code by the amendment of Section 10.44.340 to establish a 30 mile per hour prima facie speed limit on Calle Barcelona from Rancho Santa Fe Road to its intersection with
Calle Acervo.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-331 was introduced and first read at a regular City Council meeting on November 21, 1995.
The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 10.44.340 TO ESTABLISH
A PRIMA FACIE 30 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON CALLE BARCELONA
FROM RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH CALLE ACERVO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as fc
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is am
by the revision of Section 10.44.340 to read as follows:
"1 0.44.340 Calle Barcelona:
Upon Calle Barcelona from Rancho Santa Fe Road to its intersection with Calle I

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adopti
